North Carolina Parents as Teachers (NCPAT) provides training, technical assistance, collaboration and communication for early childhood parent education home visiting services.

NCPAT supports accountability and continuous quality improvement of Parents as Teachers affiliate programs throughout North Carolina.  These affiliate programs use the Parents as Teachers evidence-based home visiting model providing comprehensive home visiting and parent education services to families from before birth through kindergarten.  Affiliate programs follow the essential requirements of the model, which provide  expectations for program design, infrastructure and service delivery.  The role of NCPAT is to provide support for affiliates in North Carolina to meet those requirements as well as additional quality standards that represent best practices in the field.

NCPAT also provides training and professional development to family support professionals.
